episode summary
1) When it comes to sex, Britain is in meltdown. We've got the worst ever rate of sexually transmitted diseases among young people, the highest number of teenage pregnancies in western Europe and, most worryingly of all, unlimited access to extreme pornography. Presented by journalist Anna Richardson, this new six-part series aims to tackle the nation's sexual ignorance and reticence by capturing a wide range of different personal experiences of sexual issues and problems, as well as offering candid advice. The series will reveal the secret sex lives of teenagers as they talk about pornography, abortion, sexual disease, homosexuality, peer pressure and pregnancy. The series will also reveal the results of the biggest ever television survey of teenage attitudes to sex to discover the real state of sex education in Britain today.
2) Parents get a shock viewing of the pornography their children watch on the internet; and Anna teaches a group of teenagers how pornography affects their body perception and self-esteem.
3) After testing a group of teenagers on their perceptions of what's normal, it appears that women have fake breasts and the average man is hung like a horse...Prepare to see a few shocked faces as some brave parents discover what their teenagers have access to via the internet.

ompletely agree with dipple, and Anna Richardson is another free prostitute herself - proudly admitting she's slept with over 22 partners - vile! For all the tips on how to lose your virginity this show extols, the haven't touched on one very important suggestion - that indulging in casual sex or flings cheapens you. Muslim countries get a lot of bad press, but maybe Britain's oh-so-clued up sex experts should consider schools in those countries (not inc fanatic ones like Iraq or Afghanistan) don't need sex ed classes... because their parents and culture teach them the right values!

fun and viewer review
I absolutely love this show and find it refreshing that for once on British TV they are not shying away from sex. However I do think they are putting too much emphasis on the amount of sexual partners people have. Surely the emphasis for today's youth should be to feel love and respected before hopping into bed with someone, and not just having sex for the sake of adding one extra notch to the proverbial bedpost.

episode summary
1)  Anna Richardson and sexual health expert Dr Radha Modgil travel to Haywood Engineering College, where students get live interactive lessons in male anatomy. From penises to pubes, and balls to bums, the students find out everything they need to know about the male body, and discover that no two are the same.Anna also visits an old people's day centre to find out what OAPs really get up to, and learns out how to keep old-age sex alive from sex therapist Mary Clegg.
2) We spoke to literally hundreds of teenagers across the country and a worrying 76% of them said they want more sex education. Yet earlier this year a government bill that was going to make sex education compulsory in all schools for the very first time was dropped. However, the need for sex education has never been greater, we still have the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in Western Europe, and teenage STI rates have rocketed by 58% in the last 5 years!
3) Britain is top of the league when it comes to sex; but for all the wrong reasons. Latest statistics show a record 41,000 teenage pregnancies in one year, as well as over half of all sexually transmitted infections being in the 16 to 24 age group. To make matters worse in April this year part of a government bill that would have made crucial sex education compulsory in schools was dropped. Teens still not only need, but want better sex education. Anna Richardson returns, assisted by experts across the board determined to give teenagers across the UK some much needed, upfront sex education lessons.

fun and viewer review
In much of Europe - including the UK - sex education is public policy and seen as a good thing. These programmes are certainly much better than the embarrassed teacher sessions we had in the 80's when I was a young teenage kid.
